Scion Gathering, April 13, 2008

This past Sunday, April 13th, TunerPlayground was invited out to be a sponsor along with ScionScene and AsianScene to a local Scion car gathering and show at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, California. The event was set to run from 12-6pm. We arrived around 11am and set up our booth and tent in the already growing heat. We had the pleasure of displaying Viviane Ching’s Hello Kitty Scion xB-Gen 1, and Phil Wong’s ScionScene sponsored Scion xB-Gen 2.

Overall, the event had a great turn out, with over 50 cars and approximately 100 people in attendance at one point in time. There was food and water available, which was great because the weather grew to be incredibly hot. There was also a raffle that we took part in with a donation of several Scion related car items. Congratulations to all the raffle prize winners!

Scion 101 hosted an Autocross Challenge with a brand new 2008 Scion xB-Gen 2. People competed throughout the day to achieve the best lap time around the cone course. Our very own TunerPlayground rep, Edwin Tsui received top honors as the Competition Champion with the fastest time of the day - 24.19 seconds! Scion 101 awarded him with an assortment of gifts for his achievement.
