2009 San Jose Spirit of Japantown Js Gathering
TunerPlayground attended the 2009 San Jose Spirit of Japantown Street Festival and J's Gathering as the Official Model Sponsor with co-hosts, Weksos Industries, Full Function Tech, and Memory Fab.
The show took place in downtown San Jose near 6th and Taylor Street from 12pm-4pm with over 160 cars on display, and a huge array of amazing bikes, courtesy of the organizer, Ernesto Junior and his very supportive friends.
We were located next to the main DJ booth with 5 models, including Genevieve Chanelle, Jenn Lee, Mally Xiong, Kristee Lani, Ashley Vee, and also 3 models visiting us from LA, Lily, Jo, and Soniya.
Besides the incredibly hot weather, we would have to say the event was a huge success. People were walking around, eating, drinking, hanging out and talking. It was great to see many people interested in the cars and their heritage in relationship with Japanese culture here in the United States.
It was great for us to see some of our industry friends from District 10 and JSJ Brothers, we also had a pleasant visit from photographer Ronnie Roserio, our own resident DJ Ray Area, model Leela See, and Joe Tam.
A huge thanks goes out to Ernesto and all of his great staff, his family, and his friends for contributing to a great event. Thanks again to Weksos Industries, Full Function Tech, and Memory Fab. Also thanks to Ryan and Chad for displaying your awesome cars with us. Johnny, Shane, Eric, Mike, Nate, and all the great guys with Team Limitless Motorsports (Congratulations on your win for Best of Team by the way!), and everyone else who we may have forgotten to mention for supporting us and the event, including the Acura RDX supplied by Broadway Bistro in Cupertino (which we used to haul our equipment to and from the venue). Thanks a bunch!
