Asian Heritage Festival 2008
This Saturday, May 17th, Japantown in San Francisco had the privilege to host the annual Asian Heritage Street Festival. Our industry friends and affiliates attended the event as a part of the Car Show segment of the event.
Show participants were asked to arrive as early as 8am for staging and set up. Crowds began to pour in as the area became filled with people by 12 and continued to be jam packed into the late afternoon. Everyone seemed to be having a great time walking around and visiting the various vendors. Crowds gathered to watch fighters sparring off against one another in exhibition matches from World Team USA Muay Thai. Wild 949 and 106 KMEL were present to provide music entertainment.
There was plenty of food and beverage available, and luckily for us, the weather turned out to be pretty pleasant. We were able to visit with our friends at JDM Theory, Mach III, Project Ride, Jesse from Password JDM, Chris from Chrisfotos, Prashant from ImportFactor, and our favorite TunerPlayground supporter, the tantalizing miss Viviane Ching with her Hello Kitty'd out Scion xB. There was plenty of silliness as we enjoyed having crowds oogle her car and her goodies. We're embarrassed to say that Tom Tang, the owner of TunerPlayground, also took part in some of this, so please forgive any of the naughty photos of him that we have posted up.
Before we left the event, the beautiful Natalia Marie showed up to model with Garage Inc., and came by to show her love to TunerPlayground as well. You can look forward to seeing her again at our upcoming events and exclusively at the AutoMix Lifestyle Expo later this year.
We hope that everyone who attended had a great time, enjoy the photos, see you soon!
