Bay Area Summer Kickoff Gathering
Saturday held place to the Bay Area Summer BBQ Collaboration Gathering which took place at the Caesar Chavez Middle School in Union City. The event ran from noon until about 4pm, with a total attendance of over 50 cars consisting of local shops, teams, and enthusiasts. We saw our friends from VIP Style Cars (www.vipstylecars.com), Club Lexus (www.clublexus.com), JDM Theory (www.jdmtheory.com), Mach III (www.machiii.net), and Password JDM (www.passwordjdm.com). Vision Performance (www.vision-performance.com), Project Ride (www.projectride.net), District 10, 247Racing, and Emperor Motorsports (www.emperormotorsports.com) were also in attendance. It was quite a sight to see.
The event was thrown for fun and also for charity, with everyone coming together to support the Union City Raptors basketball team in the form of monetary donations. Our intention was to host a raffle with items donated from our friends at Limitless Motorsports (www.limitlessmotorsports.com), The Shop (www.theshopsanbruno.com), and Weapon R (www.weapon-r.com), and have half of the proceeds go towards the team. However due to some last minute changes on the part of the event staff, and a lack of any enthusiasm, interest, or support for the raffle, it never happened. However the Raptors seemed to be getting plenty of support, so we hope that they are closer to reaching their goals.
Seeing as how it was more of a meet than a show, we had our models stopping by throughout the day to walk around and do photos. Miss Novella spent most of the time there and we managed to capture some great images of her hard at work.
