Kawasaki AMA Superbike Showdown at Infineon
TunerPlayground attended the Kawasaki AMA Superbike Showdown on Sunday, May 17, 2009 to provide event coverage for our Media Partners at Infineon Raceway.
Temperatures at the track remained blistering all morning long. When he wasn't trackside looking through his lens, our staff photographer Chris Garcia attempted to follow in the footsteps of the AMA riders by staying cool. But he did so without having a line of gorgeous umbrella girls standing by his side, eager to provide shade and ice-cold beverages.
The Rockstar Makita Yoshimura Suzuki superstar, Mat Mladin followed Saturday's surprising loss to teammate Tommy Hayden with a narrow win under constant pressure during excruciatingly hot weather conditions. He managed to successfully cross the finish line with a 1.833-second margin over Tommy, who was followed closely by Yamaha USA's Ben Bostrom.
