SF WEKfest Japantown Gathering
The 2009 Japantown Gathering took San Francisco by storm on Sunday February 8, 2009. Although the weather outside was gloomy and would eventually turn into rain, inside the Japantown parking garage, things were heating up as the gathering, presented by Wek^sos Industries based in Santa Clara, CA, took place from 12pm-6pm.
There were over 400 cars in attendance with vendors and show teams from all over the west coast. We received reports from the admissions staff that over 8000 people come through the event, which is simply amazing.
TunerPlayground was proud to be the official model sponsor of the event, it was a pleasure for us to work our friends at Models for World to collaborate and provide models for N1 Concepts, Limitless Motorsports, Blox, and Speed Star Racing.
Congratulations go out to all the trophy winners. TunerPlayground's very own Ryan Lam took home 1st Place for Best 350Z with his Nissan 350Z Roadster. Be on the lookout for a full feature on his car as well as his amazing team, RareJDM. We also want to congratulate our friends at N1 Concepts for winning Best Honda.
