2009 DUB Show Tour: San Jose

The 2009 DUB Show Tour in San Jose...wow, what can we say, except, oh what a night!

This year's event took place at the Convention Center located at 150 West San Carlos Street downtown on Saturday September 5th from 4pm-9pm.

The show was open to the public and featured Premiere Sponsors from Monster Energy Drink, Kawasaki, Mobil 1, MLB, Xbox 360, Nascar, Boost Mobile, and more.

As partners with the DUB Show, we were asked to bring out some of our hottest models, including DSPORT Cover Model, Elissa Alva, our September Featured Model, Genevieve Chanelle, our August Featured Model, Paizly C, Megan Kawaguchi, Asiana Sue, Miss Jody, and Caity Costa, who invited her very sexy sister in order to make our booth extra special for all of those fans gathering around our booth in front of the Main Stage.

Our booth area featured a live photo shoot area with our friend Tom Hyunh, Feature Editor, Keith Selle, Feature Photographer, Rich Yee, Dion Wong from VIP Curves, and Lane Shurtleff from Lane Studios keeping the girls working hard all night long. Whether they were posing on our backdrop, motorcycle, or display car (August Featured Car - sponsored by Limitless Motorsports), our area stayed lit up all night long with flashes going off from within the booth space and also all around it.

The show featured tons of fixed up cars displaying crazy audio, performance, and cosmetic upgrades. It was also great to see some wicked wheel fitments. Some of the main attractions included the Monster Energy lounge, celebrity cars and bikes, and stage performances by Paul Wall and E-40. Vendors in attendance included the Army, Air Force, Verizon Wireless, Budweiser, and more.

It was great for us to catch up with our good friend Henry Ma, owner of Pure Hot Models who also had a large model presence at the event.

When the show ended at 9:00pm we thought we would hang around for a while so the attendees could exit the building and the area. Our original plan was to pack up and then head over to Broadway Bistro in Cupertino to go eat.

Then around 9:40pm we were notified by the event staff that there had been a shooting in the parking garage and that the San Jose Police Department had sealed off the entire convention center as a crime scene. All of this happened while half of our staff were outside trying to get in with the truck, while the other half sat inside and babysat our equipment.

Around close to 1:30am we were finally able to load up our things and drive out of there. However, the police department would not release vehicles parked in Section 6 of the garage, or higher. This left our staff of 4 and 3 models outside in downtown San Jose to fend for ourselves. We ended up renting hotel rooms nearby after getting some food and tried to sleep as best as we could. Around 8am we were able to return to the convention center to get our cars and get out of there.

All in all though, the lockdown aside, this was a great event that we all had fun at.

We'd like to give a huge thank you to John Ramos and Victor Herrera from DUB Magazine for taking care of us this weekend. We appreciate everything you guys do for us and we are definitely looking forward to the next event!

Also to Jonny Liu for helping us make this event possible, hopefully all the ass prints on your bike and car aren't permanent!

And last but not least, thanks to N1 Concepts for letting us borrow their super awesome Dodge Ram Super Duty monster truck for hauling our gear around. You guys are the best!
