Wow is it already July? We looked it up and this date marks the official halfway point for 2011. Crazy how time flies. We've been busier than ever with new projects and managing our models all over the country. We're also enjoying ourselves a lot more and forging some truly incredible new partnerships. But enough about us, you're here for Danielle Lo, one of our newest exclusively-signed & managed spokesmodels. She's young, vibrant and has a great head on her shoulders, which is why we're confident that she'll go far. So sit back (with an ice cold beer) this long weekend and enjoy an in-depth personal interview along with over forty never-before-seen photos of Danielle. Cheers!
TP: So we have to ask, how did you get into modeling? Were you discovered?
DL: I've always wanted to model, but my family was very direct in letting me know how they felt about pursuing it as a career. Once I turned 18, I decided to take matters into my own hands and try it out. It started off as something I did for fun, and it took off from there. I wasn't really discovered...I worked really hard and networked a lot in order to get my name out there.
TP: That's great. Speaking of networking, how do you feel about signing exclusively with us? What were some of the important factors that led to your decision?
DL: I'm stoked! I've heard so many great things about TunerPlayground from everyone in the industry. A really important deciding factor for me was that I LOVE everyone I've met at TP! ^_^
TP: Aww. Thank you. Do you consider yourself beautiful? What do you think is your greatest asset? What makes you unique?
DL: Would you believe me if I said I was too modest to answer that? Haha...I definitely think that beauty has to do with brains. I'm unique in that I don't rely on my looks to get by, I'm extremely driven and passionate about everything that I'm involved in. I'm told that I have a great smile though.
TP: We certainly agree. We love your smile. So what was the first major event that you modeled at? What made it most memorable to you?
DL: Aww thank you. Hmm, my first event... I don't think I was even modeling yet, but I went to go support my friends who were showing their cars at Hot Import Nights 2009 in San Jose. Right when I showed up I had cameras flashing in my face and people asking to take pictures with me and their cars. At first I tried telling them that I wasn't a model, but I gave in and had a bunch of fun with it!
TP: Very cool. So who is your favorite model or celebrity of all time?
DL: That's a tough one..I don't really have one specific person. There are too many amazing models and celebrities out there. But I have noticed that Asian supermodels are gaining popularity and that many more Asian actresses and singers are gracing magazine covers and advertisements. As far as a fantasy shoot...hmm...imagine two hot girls in the desert heat...think you can roll with that? ^_^
TP: We certainly can. Tell us, have you ever used your looks to take advantage of someone? Was it one of our staff? You can tell us. Haha.
DL: LOL. Who me?! Never... But if someone offers...I won't say no!
TP: What are your hobbies? Any hidden talents you'd like to share with the world?
DL: I'm very athletic and I love the outdoors. I can touch my nose with my tongue, and can do the moonwalk...I also typed all of this with my elbows! HAHA.
TP: WAIT WHAT? Go back to the tongue thing. Haha. So what is your astrological sign? Do you believe in horoscopes?
DL: Hehe! I'm a CAPRICORN baby! I can definitely relate to a few things, but I don't use horoscopes to define myself or anyone else. I think it's kind of weird when you meet someone and one of the first questions they ask is "what sign are you?" I feel like when I tell them, they automatically stereotype me.
TP: Do you have any weird habits that no one else knows about?
DL: I'm a total germaphobe and I like staying very organized...I have three planners to keep track of everything! Oh...and...I walk around my house naked all the time! ^_^
TP: Wow. We need to come hang out with you more then. Haha. So what is your favorite place to eat? Drink? Play?
DL: Anywhere in New York! With all of the great restaurants, bars and clubs, you can't go wrong. My favorites are the speakeasies!
TP: What does a typical day look like for you? Where do you like to go for some time alone?
DL: I don't have a "typical" day...that's what I love about my work! For alone time I light up some candles, make a nice sound track, and sing along in my bath tub. ^_^
TP: Can you drive a stick? Have you ever thought about getting into racing?
DL: Yes I can! I do have a need for speed...racing for me is certainly possible, so you never know!
TP: That would be cool. We can try to arrange something. So does size matter for you? You know we're talking about car engines of course. Haha.
DL: Awesome! As for engine size, it doesn't matter. I'm all about the driver. Afterall, if you have a big fast car but you don't know what to do with it, then you're shit out of luck. I'm talking about engines too of course. ^_^
TP: Haha. Of course. If we looked through your cell phone, what kinds of juicy things would we find on there?
DL: A crazy playlist ranging from Beethoven to B-Legit, tons of games, and thousands of pictures
TP: What item of clothing or accessory makes you feel the sexiest?
DL: I love clothes that show off my decollete and back, I feel like those areas can be even sexier than showing off your cleavage.
TP: What do you look for in a guy? What would he have to do to get your attention and to keep you interested?
DL: I like tough guys with a soft side. ^_^ If you want to get my attention, just come up and talk to me. If you're too shy to do that, then it's probably not going to work out.
TP: How do you feel about pick-up lines? What was the best line that was used on you? Did it work?
DL: They're cheesy, funny, and amusing...but 99.9% of the time they don't work. Sorry guys!
TP: What is the weirdest thing that has ever happened to you on a date? How did the rest of the night go?
DL: I've been fortunate to not have any horrific dating experiences, yet...LOL!
TP: Haha. So what gets you in the mood? What are some of your turn-ons?
DL: Candles, rose petals, and champagne...I like the works! ^_^
TP: Duly noted. Haha. So on a scale from 1 to 10, how wild are you in the bedroom?
DL: You can't put a number on me. I'm too hot to handle! Don't you know that it's the shy ones that are undercover freaks? Hehe.
TP: Wow. Right on. Tell us, what do you wear to bed?
DL: Nothing... ^_^
TP: Whistle. So what's your favorite position in the bedroom?
DL: It's too hard to choose! I love to switch it up. Hehe.
TP: Nice! Nothing wrong with that. Tell us, what is something no one else knows about you that you are willing to let us in on first? And your answer above doesn't count. It has to be something else.
DL: Well...I'm definitely straight, but that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate a woman's body too... We women really are like mystical creatures...hehe!
TP: Wow. Were you popular in high school? If so, why do you think that was?
DL: I certainly got along with everyone! I played varsity tennis, ran track, and did dance. I was also the yearbook editor, so it was my job to know everyone. ^_^
TP: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
DL: I would want to fly! That way I could go anywhere in the world, whenever I wanted! Imagine...shopping in Paris during the day and then flying to Japan for some amazing sushi!
TP: Sounds good to us! Do your friends have any funny nicknames for you? If so, tell us about them and the stories behind them.
DL: D Money Danger! Ahaha. I have no idea how they came up with that! I've also been called DLo, Danny, and Lil Lo. I was super short growing up, so in elementary school the kids called me Small Fry. =/
TP: Aww. Haha. Well you're super cute and average height now. So do you use Twitter? Facebook? Myspace? What do you think about social networking sites and how they have affected models these days?
DL: Social networking has completely changed the game in my opinion. It has definitely opened so many doors for me. Just be careful who you network with, and what information you put out there for others.
TP: Amen to that. What are five things you never leave the house without?
DL: Phone. Keys. Wallet. Chapstick. And my sunglasses!
TP: Do you like to travel? Where have you been that you absolutely loved? Where would you like to go someday?
DL: I love to travel! I feel so fortunate to have gone to places like Paris, London, Spain, the Caribbean, and Hawaii (among many other states within the US). Japan is next on the list, then I would love to go to Greece, Rome, New Zealand, Australia, China, Singapore, Thailand and many more places all over the world!
TP: That's great. Maybe we'll take you along to Tokyo Auto Salon next spring. So tell us, where can your fans find you online?
DL: OMG. That would be amazing! You can find me on Twitter: @danielle_lo and Facebook.com/DanielleLoFanPage
TP: Where can your fans expect to find you with TunerPlayground next?
DL: I'm going to be all over the place! Next stop is Vegas for an upcoming print magazine feature! Summer is a busy time, so just make sure to check back here on TunerPlayground.com to see where I'll be appearing next! ^_^
TP: Sounds great. It's time that we wrap up. Any last words?
DL: I want to thank all of my fans out there and all of the people that I have had the pleasure of working with! I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for all of your support and your believing in me as a person and a model! TunerPlayground, Prestigious Models, MINT Models, Umbrella Girls USA...I love you all! ^_^ Thanks again for letting me be a part of something so amazing! All the hard work that I do is inspired and motived by each and every one of you. MUCH LOVE!
