TP: Good morning Lauren! So we have to ask, how did you get into modeling? Were you discovered?
LA: Hi guys! Umm. Let's see... A few of my really close friends were in the industry and kind of pushed me into it. They set up a shoot with a photographer that they had worked with in the past for me to test shoot with. I was so nervous! Once I saw the pictures though, I was like damn...you go Lauren! ^_^ Shoots started lining up after that and I've been growing ever since.
TP: Very cool. So, how do you feel about signing exclusively with us? What were some of the important factors that led to your decision?
LA: I'm super excited to be a part of the TunerPlayground family! I love what you guys are all about. Awesome cars, sexy girls. All very tastefully done.
TP: Aww, well thank you. Tell us, do you consider yourself beautiful? What do you think is your greatest asset? What makes you unique?
LA: I believe a girl's personality shows on the outside and is what makes her stand apart. I think mine shines from the inside out. I am super outgoing and extremely bubbly...I think this adds to my appearance and makes people feel comfortable with approaching me or speaking to me. My eyes show my emotions and I have been told that they are "mesmerizing." I have also been told on occasion that I have the "best legs in the business." Haha!
TP: What was the first major gig that you had?
LA: I actually did some TV work in the beginning. I shot for a short clip with the NFL Network and the TV show "Dexter."
TP: Very cool! Who is your favorite model or celebrity of all time?
LA: Megan Fox. She is just so damn YUMMY. ^_^
TP: Agreed. Tell us, have you ever used your looks to take advantage of someone?
LA: My friends used to push me in front of lines or at bars and restaurants. They would say, "Lauren you're the one with the boobs, go use them." Haha. And I always hated it. It's never worked with cops though...I guess I just drive WAY too fast!
TP: Haha. What are some of your hobbies? Any hidden talents you'd like to share with the world?
LA: I am all over the place. I LOVE to cook and get down in the kitchen. Sometimes I will go to the grocery store and spend $50-$100 to buy a bunch of random ingredients just to make something I saw on Food Network. I usually end up with enough left overs for the week though. I also have a weakness for fast cars. The sound of a powerful engine can really get me going. I used to sell and install car stereo systems when I was a teen. Oh and I redid the interior of my car once all by myself.
TP: Dinner at your place next time! What is your astrological sign? Do you believe in horoscopes?
LA: Yes! Come over and I'll cook. Hehe. I'm an Aries. I don't really follow astrology very closely, but I do know that what they say about me is right. I'm independent, strong willed, and BULLHEADED. Hahaha! ^_^
TP: Do you have any weird habits that no one else knows about?
LA: I have to sleep with a fan on...even if it's only thirty degrees outside. Oh and I use three blankets. I also like to multi-task everything. For example, I like to brush my teeth while showering. I also love blue cheese dressing on everything! And I talk to my cats with an accent (I don't know why or where it came from). I swear I am not a crazy cat lady (yet)!
TP: Oh boy...we're not so sure about you now. Haha. Tell us, what does a typical day for you look like?
LA: Oh no! Umm. My days have been crazy lately. I wake up, go to job number one, eight hours later, go to job number two (after changing uniforms in the bathroom). Then eight hours later it's off to the gym before heading home to eat, shower, and pass out. Lather, rinse, and repeat the next day.
TP: Wow. You're quite the busy little bee aren't you? So can you handle a stick? Have you ever thought about getting into racing?
LA: I drive NOTHING but stick. I once had a Mitsubishi Eclipse that was automatic. I kept it for only two months before selling it and buying the same year/make/model in a 5-speed manual. Now I have a 2012 Chevy Camaro. It's a 6-speed and full of fun. I have actually thought about getting into racing. Would be fun to go around Las Vegas Motor Speedway. ^_^
TP: Did you know that Tom raced there last year after SEMA in a rental Dodge Charger? It was quite an experience. We have to ask, does size matter for you? You know we're talking about car engines of course.
LA: So cool! Take me next time! Oh and engine size definitely matters. A 4-cylinder just doesn't do it for me. I need to be able to feel the rumble under my butt. Hehe.
TP: Haha. We're trying hard to not make an inappropriate joke right now. So if we looked through your cell phone, what kinds of juicy things would we find on there?
LA: Lot's and lot's of pictures of my kitchen creations, mixed in with random pictures of weird things my cats do, and funny of pictures of me when I don't have access to a mirror.
TP: Haha. Send some our way. Tell us, what item of clothing or accessory makes you feel the sexiest?
LA: My heels...I have a HUGE collection. Heels are just so sexy. The way they can show off your toes, and how they make your legs look long and your butt look perky. ^_^
TP: What has surprised you the most about modeling? Any embarrassing moments?
LA: I think the most surprising thing to me about modeling is how open and brutally honest people can be. Some photographers feel that I'm too curvy, or that I have too many tattoos while others hire me for exactly these reasons. I believe that there's something out there for everyone. Those who don't like me can keep it moving.
TP: Well we certainly like all of you. Hehe. So what do you look for in a guy? What would he have to do to get your attention and to keep you interested?
LA: Aww! Love you guys too! Hmm. The main thing that I look for is a good sense of humor. I'm a goofball and I do lot's of silly things. I also giggle A LOT. So a guy has to be able to laugh right along with me. I also look for someone who has a good head on his shoulders. I like confidence (not to be confused with cocky). A guy has to take care of himself too (we all like to eat but there is this thing call a gym)! He needs to be motivated and hardworking (gotta be able to keep up with me). I like someone who is open minded and understanding with good morals. Looks wise, I like a tall, built guy with eyes that tell me everything he's thinking and nice lips. ^_^
TP: Is that all? Haha. How do you feel about pick-up lines? What was the best line that was used on you? Did it work?
LA: Hey you asked okay? Hehe. I absolutely LOVE cheesy pick-up lines! Don't come at me with your usual "googled" ones...I want creative and funny!
TP: Haha. You might be the first. Take notes guys! So what is the worst thing that has ever happened to you on a date? How did the rest of the night go?
LA: One time, this one guy that I had gone on a few dates with decided to sing Bruno Mars "Just the way you are" to me in the middle of a packed movie theater. It was super cute for the first 10 seconds, but then he kept going and going. Even past the previews... He should have just stopped because it went from being one of the sweetest gestures to just plain weird!
TP: Hahaha. What gets you in the mood? What are some of your turn-ons?
LA: I like to be touched...on my back, my neck, and...my thighs. Sometimes the slightest touch can give the most sensation...a few kisses go a long way too. Also if the guy smells amazing then it really get's me going. ^_^
TP: What do you wear to bed?
LA: Sometimes I wear Victoria's Secret sweats with a tank top and fuzzy socks. Sometimes nothing.
TP: On a scale from 1 to 10, how wild are you in the bedroom?
LA: Depends on what the situation calls for. Hehehe!
TP: Favorite position?
LA: Hmm. I like to be in control...so me on top. ^_^
TP: What is something no one else knows about you that you are willing to let us in on first? And your answer above doesn't count. It has to be something else!
LA: Okay...I was in a bowling league as a kid. My mom has my bowling shirt full of patches and I think I have several trophies too. Haha!
TP: Aww. Well we think that's cute. So were you popular in high school? If so, why do you think that was?
LA: Not at all. I worked two jobs, got good grades, and did what I needed to do in order to get the heck out of there. Now whenever my former classmates see me online they send me a message asking "hey don't I know you?" Too funny.
TP: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
LA: I would like to be able to travel at the speed of light. Traveling around the world would be so easy then!
TP: Did your friends ever have any funny nicknames for you? If so, what were they and what are the stories behind them?
LA: Haha. Umm. Yes. My friends used to call me "pimptress" (silly I know), but it was because I had a pager early on and I also developed boobs at an early age. So I had the phone numbers of all the cute boys. Oh and one of my friends starting called me "L-Boogie" ...not sure why but this has stuck.
TP: Facebook? Twitter? Model Mayhem? What do you think about social networking sites and how they have affected models these days?
LA: I do! Mainly for networking and sometimes for entertainment. I think the internet and these sites have really opened up opportunities for models and others in the industry. You can connect with people you might never have the opportunity to meet otherwise. Also, when used correctly, they get your name out there. Nothing is more cool than being out at a club or someplace and having someone come up to me and say, "hey, aren't you Lauren Ashley?" It's like being a rockstar! Just kidding. ^_^
TP: What are five things you never leave the house without?
LA: My cell phone. It's glued to my hand. My debit card. I hate carrying cash. Lip gloss. Protein bar & almonds. Oh and my "Spark" B-Vitamin gum. If you haven't tried it before, go buy some! It's awesome!
TP: Okay! Where can your fans find you online?
LA: They can find me on Facebook! And Twitter: @LAsLaurenAshley ^_^
TP: Do you like to travel? Where have you been that you absolutely loved? Where would you like to go some day?
LA: I LOVE to travel! I went to Hawaii a few times and fell in love with the place. Kauai is my favorite island. I have plans of traveling back to Hawaii as well as to Thailand later this year. I'd also like to visit Miami next year, along with Australia and Brazil. I want to see the world! Lucky for me, I have friends all over the globe...so I always have a place to crash.
TP: Where can your fans expect to find you in 2012? How about with us?
LA: Everywhere! Stay tuned because I'm super excited! ^_^
TP: Sounds good. It's time that we wrap up. Any last words?
LA: I just want to give a special thank you to Tom and the entire team at TunerPlayground for letting me be a part of your family and to Keith for the amazing pictures used in my feature. I also want to give a special shout out to all of the wonderful photographers that I have worked with over the years (some of whom are close friends of mine now). Thank you for giving me the opportunity and for helping me to grow. Last but not least, thank you to my mom. I love you mommy! <3
